.... country's history of white supremacy or the significance of the myriad related issues such as redlining, the FHA's prohibition of blacks buying homes in the 'white' suburbs, etc. I would posit that most Trumpies aren't even aware of those matters, but there are plenty of non-MAGA whites (and it's not even exclusive to Republicans) who get very uncomfortable at the mention of those things and the notion that they were and remain relevant to the black experience. No, there's not really a 'gray area' here. Many, many white folks outside the idiot cult are fragile when such a subject is brought up. I've witnessed it several times just in the past decade and plenty before Trump became a political figure.
